Translation-Communication-or-Chaos ?

Levant / Asiatic / Semites / foreigners / Arabs ..  words/names

Can you imagine how long mechanics would stay in business if only mechanics had use for their service?

The ONLY way professional Egyptologist or museums stay in business is by THE INTEREST OF THE MASSES.

Translation is not the replacement of words, but to render the given meaning from one language to another.

Dem big ol fancy words

How many times have you read test or hear some one speak, using words you have to look up to understand?

Some how they think using big words makes what they say more valid and makes people think da is mart. Well the fact is there are gullible people impressed by "educated people" with a lot of blabber words.

Communication is presenting information that others can understand. If a speaker/writer uses words that a 5th grader can understand, then even them mart fellers will understand what they are talking about.

IF there is information that common words do not have a meaning for, then use your fancy word.

Other than to impress others, there is no possible to use words, that are not used by the public and have a common meaning used by the pubic.

Jumping bean words

In the world of the flim flam man, changing a word becomes very useful.

Jew, Hebrew, Semite, Israelite

Asiatic, foreigner, Semite

Here the question is not what people trained in a certain field think of when a word is heard, but when the word is spoken to the general public what does the word mean to the commoner?

To the common person hearing any of these words (Jew, Hebrew, Semite, Israelite), they think of the same subset of the population.

* No where in the bible did Jew ever define 12 tribes of Israel. A group identified as Jews did not come into existence until after the divided kingdom and they were composed of only 3 tribes who became the enemy of the other 9 tribes.

* Hebrew, according to the bible (by any definition you chose) Israelites were only a small fraction of the Hebrews.

* Semite, by any definition, Israelites were only a small fraction of the Semites.

* After having 8 children a Catholic woman converted to Judaism. Three generations later her great grand daughter read that grandma was a Jew ... and now all of the descendants of grandma think of themselves as Jews, Semites, Hebrews.. descendants of the Israelites?

=============================

When the general public hears the word anti-Semite, they automatically think Jew.

Even the 'educated' knows what the public thinks of when they hear that word, so why would they use Semite to identify a people the ancient Egyptians were talking about?

In the world of geek, one would use words used by others who speak geek.

In medicine or law, one would speak in terms that apply to their own field.

When speaking to the public, any speaker/writer who intended to speak to the common population.

MUSICAL WORDS
Levant / Asiatic / Semites / foreigners / Arabs

===========

LEVANT

Levant, region on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea. Its name derives from the Italian word Levant, meaning "rising," implying the rising of the sun in the east. Historically, the Levant included all of the countries along the eastern Mediterranean shores, extending from Greece to Egypt. People of Italian or French extraction born in the Levant were sometimes referred to as Levantines. The name Levant States was used to refer to the French mandate over Syria and Lebanon after World War I (1914-1918); today the term is still occasionally applied to those two countries.

I have never seen this word used by Egyptologist before, but show us the hieroglyphic which translates to Levant and inform us how any Egyptologist determined this hieroglyph, identified this region.

The definition says Levant extend from Greece to Egypt, so Egyptians would be included in Levant.

* The ancient Egyptians never used the term Semite (with modern meanings)

* Our term Asia defines an area from Canaan, India, China and Japan. The Egyptians never had such a word.

Translation is presenting the information from one language to another. If it is a translation, then the Egyptian would have the same meaning as our word with that meaning.

Levant / Asiatic / Semites .. BS we would not use such words to define the middle east population.

If we were going to use the MOST common word to define the middle east population, I suppose the clowns would replace Levant / Asiatic / Semites with Arabs.

(Levant / Asiatic / Semites) ... these NON Egyptian meanings they replace hieroglyphics do nothing to convey the meaning. These are abstract words.

The hieroglyphics they pervert with these meanings , do not identify a population as to they are, but this word defines a population by who they are not.

The hieroglyphs with these perverted English meanings, identify the NOT population.

The hieroglyphs simply identify people who were NOT EGYPTIANS.

The non applicable words (Levant / Asiatic / Semites) should simply be replaced with the word foreigners...

The word does not identify who they are, it identifies who they are not.. foreigners.

In order for a translation to be made, the English word must convey the same meaning as the Egyptian word. Later I will expose the BS words these people inject for Hieroglyphic words.

=============================

In an actual translation, the same information must be passed into the words of the population it is passed to. Arabs or foreigners would be terms our culture would call that population.

The words selected by translators are essential to pass the same information.

The mush mouths who try to inject fancy/weird words only hamper the process.

=============================

If you brought hamburger back from the store, does that mean what it came from Germany? Didn't the word originate in Germany?

Our vocabulary if PACKED with words which originated in many countries.

No matter where they originated, they are the words of our own culture.

Why would an 'Egyptologist' say the name of any one in the hieroglyphs, came from any place other than Egypt?

We have names that originated in many countries. That does not mean that is where our ancestors came from.

Ha-sus .. is the name of thousands of Spaniards and Mexicans. It is derived from the word Jesus. It does not matter where the name originated, it does NOT mean these people had ancestors in Palestine.

In order to speculate WHERE a name originated, you would have to find an area where that name was used repeatedly .. then you could "ASSUME" the name might have originated there.

When a name is NOT found in any other place or repeated, then it is impossible to speculate the name originated in some other place other than in the location where it is given.

* Names (if originated else where) would not mean that is where a person came from ... and the names 'Egyptologist' say came from else where, are found no place other than Egypt.

*  Translating hieroglyphs to words in our language that lead to false beliefs is done by ignorance or the intent to deceive.

*  When the Egyptians talked about unidentified people other than Egyptians, they would have used the same kind of words we use in our language.. foreigner/aliens. When the Egyptians talked about specific populations (Romans, Hittites ... ) they would have used the word that identified that specific population.

*  When the Egyptians recorded communications for Egyptians, they used Egyptian words that held Egyptian meanings.

=============================

I suppose it would be best to take any hieroglyphic, one at a time and look at the original source.

Translation is rendering meanings in the common population. If you have to research words or meanings to find what the guy was trying to say, they translated NOTHING !
